It's early in the morning on Wednesday 20 August 2008 and there is great excitement at Langelihle Creche. Mavis greets 2 of the little ones as they are dropped off by the local 'Kiddie Taxi' and soon they are all laughing and playing in the new classroom while they wait for the 'guests' to arrive!
Miss Roberts opened the morning, followed by a blessing for the Creche by Greg Brooks. Gina Wright, Nanele Nlambo, Sarah Cluver and Danielle Andews each shared a few words.
Then it was the turn of the Langelihle kids who proudly performed a show of dancing and singing in both Zulu and English!
Next up was Party Time! Each of the little children was given a lunch box filled with party food and juice, and bundled together with a soft toy donated by the St Mary's Grade 6 families. The girls had brought along their own picnic lunches and an enjoyable hour was spent together.
After a great morning together, it was time to say Goodbye and leave the Langelihle kids to enjoy their new toys, books, puzzles, stationery and outdoor equipment and to finish off an exciting day with a nap on their new mattresses and blankets - all donated by the girls' families.

My little girl usandla is adorable she was eager to speak english as she pronounced every ones name perfect. I would point to something and she would point to it and I would say the name of that thing, and she would repeat it after me. I am looking forward to seeing her again.

This was a truely amazing experience. We all had lots of fun playing with the children!!! I saw a huge change from the last time that we went there... the mural was finished and the tiles that we had painted were also done and hanging up they looked beautiful!!! We had lots of fun at the creche I hope we get the chance to visit the creche again

We all had great fun at the Wetting party!!! it was an amazing experience and i know i wll never ever forget it!!! All the little kids were realy exited to see us when we got out of the cars. We were playig with them and having a great time!!! I was very sad when we had to say good bye and leave the creche. =)
Helping the creche was one of the most amazing parts of grade six! Seeing all those children with smiles on their faces makes me so happy!!!!!!

I ABSOLUTELY loved the creche wetting party it was so much fun! I am so happy that we could make a difference in some little childrens lives! It was so fun playing games with all of the kids.They were all so cute.When we went to paint the wall white the dads put up the baisin so they could have running water,the moms and the kids painted the walls we were all covered in white paint.

The grade sixes went to Langelihle Creche on Wednesday. We had an awsome time there. We got time to play with the kids and eat lunch. The creche did a little dance for us, it was adorable. I played with a little girl named Thando. We ate then we played games.

I had so much fun painting our paintings on the wall,and when we were all finished it looked so colourful and beautiful! It really has been awesome to help with creche and knowing that the children will appriciate and use all of the donated items, and put them to good use! I really loved it at Langelihle it was the best when we got to sit with the children we taught one little girl how to say fish in english because her toy that she got was a fish we also taught her how to do a high 5, low 5 and baby five it was soooooooo cute...
I hated it when we had to leave I miss the children so much, i cant wait until we go again...

I loved how bright and colourful it looked it was so beautiful with all our paintings... this has definitly been the best charity we have ever had...
